Your Harvest Priority!
Lapriora is your harvest priority for silage or grain. A recently launched variety from KWS – Lapriora provides total harvest flexibility.
Tested by NIAB and Kingshay, Lapriora offers rapid early vigour, early maturity and has achieved the highest crop value per acre, compared to existing ‘ultra earlies’ such as Avenir and Revolver.
Characteristics:
Rapid early vigour, ideal for heavy soils or late drilling
Typical yields: 18 t/ha (forage), 10 – 11 t/ha (grain)
Harvest flexibility – Forage, CCM or crimped maize
Quality:
Ideal for rations up to 50% maize or fed as CCM/crimped maize for extra energy
Excellent feed value – Highest crop value per acre, compared to Avenir (NIAB Group 10)
Lapriora – Your priority for silage or grain
Corn Cob Mix (CCM)
As an alternative to crimped maize, a maize ‘picker’ header is attached to a conventional forager. The cob is harvested and chopped separately.
The spindle, husk and grains provide high starch feed with added fibre, making an ideal product to use in dairy or beef diets.
