All KWS sugarbeet varieties in the United States are marketed through our subsidiary Betaseed Inc.

Betaseed Inc. is a leading supplier of sugarbeet seed in North America. Over one third of all U.S. sugarbeet acres are planted to Betaseed varieties. Betaseed breeds, produces and markets sugarbeet varieties that combine high yield, high sucrose content and disease resistance as needed for each specific market area. From its two separate, but coordinated, breeding programs based in Kimberly, Idaho (for western U.S. markets) and Shakopee and Moorhead, Minnesota (for eastern U.S. markets) varieties are introduced to fit a wide range of growing conditions. Betaseed Inc. is also active in several European countries, with additional markets being entered each year.
